Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci has teamed with YouTuber FamilyJules and the Ernie Ball Company to deliver a potent shot of geeky nostalgia, in the form of a blistering take on the classic "Super Mario Bros." theme. The accompanying video for their ripper finds the pair shredding in the studio, and later, showing off their Ernie Ball Monarchy Majesty guitars.
Petrucci's heavy–metal nerd salute arrives amid his current stint on the G3 tour alongside two of his fellow virtuosos, Joe Satriani and Def Leppard's Phil Collen. They'll be playing shows across the U.S. through February 25th; find a full list of dates below.
