See Evanescence Play First Show in 2 Years

Amy Lee made her triumphant return to the stage in Portland, Oregon

Through the 2020 pandemic lockdown, Evanescence helped fans keep their spirits up by releasing a breadcrumb trail of singles, culminating in the 2021 release of the band's first proper album in 10 years, March's The Bitter Truth. Amy Lee and Co. have since delivered numerous virtual performances — on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and elsewhere — but they haven't been able to play in-person for a large crowd of their adoring diehards — until last night (November 5th) in Portland, Oregon.

The city's Portland Memorial Coliseum played host to the kickoff of Evanescence's 15-date U.S. arena tour with Halestorm. The concert not only marked the gothic-metal chart-toppers' first IRL performance in over two years, but it also saw the live debut of Bitter Truth music, including the triumphant "Broken Pieces Shine" and the rockin' "Yeah Right." The show also featured Halestorm's Lzzy Hale coming out for a special duet cover of Linkin Park's 2017 track, "Heavy."

Needless to say, many fans had their cellphones out to memorialize the moment — watch some of their footage above and below, and scroll on for the band's full setlist, courtesy of setlist.fm.
