Amy Lee: "We hope to shine a light in the darkness, to empower and inspire"

With Election Day looming, Evanescence singer Amy Lee is doing all she can to get out the vote. Her band's recently released new anthem "Use My Voice" is an urgent plea for listeners to make their opinions heard via the ballot box and beyond. Joining her on the song are the Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen, Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, violinist Lindsey Stirling, Within Temptation's Sharon den Adel and others. Today (August 28th), Evanescence have offered up the single's stirring, Eric Howell–directed music video, which opens with Lee alone in the dark and concludes in a light-filled demonstration as the day breaks. Watch above.

"We are proud to stand up and join the fight against the injustice, lies and oppression that plague our country and the world," Lee commented. "No matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from or who you love, your voice matters. We hope to shine a light in the darkness, to empower and inspire. Use your voice. Vote."

In addition to such calls to action, Evanescence have partnered with HeadCount, one of the leading non-partisan, non-profit voter information services to help people navigate the registration and voting process by providing information on options to vote safely during the ongoing pandemic.
