Band delivered rousing performance before unspecified member was injured, forcing shows to be rescheduled

The Foo Fighters threw a special party Saturday, February 2nd (the day before the Super Bowl), called Super Saturday night, and in true Dave Grohl fashion, there was no shortage of guests to be pulled onstage for some classic hard-rock and metal covers.

One such guest was Rage Against the Machine Tom Morello, who contributed his master shredding skills while Grohl traded off vocal duties with his buddy Zac Brown on Black Sabbath's 1970 protest anthem "War Pigs." Following the seven-and-a-half-minute jam, Grohl took the mic to tell the crowd, "This ain't no halftime shit — this is some fuckin' good time shit right now."

While he had Morello and Brown already onstage, Grohl also welcomed Jane's Addiction frontman Perry Ferrell to belt out the group's 1988 hit "Mountain Song." The raucous cover even included a guitar solo in which Morello plucked the strings with his teeth while Ferrell commanded the stage, rushing from one end to the other to the enthusiastic crowd's delight. Unfortunately, it looks like Foo Fighters' Saturday show might be their last for a minute, as the group posted an update on social media this morning pertaining to an unspecified members' injury that will prevent them from playing February 15th and 16th at The Fillmore in New Orleans. The shows will instead take place May 15th and 16th, and full refunds are available to fans who can't attend the makeup dates. See full details in a Facebook post by the band below.
