Ghost kicked off their 2022 tour with Volbeat and Twin Temple last night (January 25th) in Reno, Nevada, marking the Swedish occult-rock troupe's first show in nearly two years. If that wasn't momentous enough, the performance included the unveiling of the Nameless Ghoul's new steampunk astronaut outfits and the live debuts of October single "Hunter's Moon" and the group's cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman." Biggest of all, Ghost opened the show by playing an all-new, unreleased song, "Kaisarion," off their hugely anticipated upcoming album, Impera.
As you can see in the fan-shot footage above and below, the world premiere wasn't without its hiccups: The massive curtain masking the band from the audience put up a fight before finally coming down to reveal Papa and his Ghouls. Once that obstacle was overcome, the performance went on without a hitch. Watch now and check out video of the live debuts of "Hunter's Moon" and "Enter Sandman," as well.
