See Higher Power Face Perils of Fire and Water in New "Seamless" Video

Rising U.K. hardcore band offer up moody Nineties-style clip

Earlier in the month, rising U.K. hardcore quintet Higher Power offered up "Seamless," the soaring, blistering lead single off their forthcoming Roadrunner Records debut, 27 Miles Underwater. Undeniably Deftones-esque in its range and power, the tune pairs ass-kicking guitar crunch with three-dimensional emotional depth, and today the band has dropped a complementary music video that puts their live ferocity on full display.

"'Seamless' was one of the last songs we wrote for the record," vocalist Jimmy Wizard said of the single. "It came together so naturally, we knew from the moment we wrote it that it was going to be the first song we release. It perfectly encapsulates everything the record is about in a short, catchy, heavy song."

Watch above as one of the most talented young hardcore bands in the world jam while up to their knees in some gross-looking water. How did they get that shot of J. Wizard screaming his lungs out with his face submerged? We may never know. 27 Miles Underwater is due on January 24th.
