We're longtime champions of L.A.-based rap-punk duo Ho99o9 — hell, we put them on one of the covers of our 2018 Rule-Breakers Issue. The incendiary twosome have been tearing shit up over the three years since, touring with Korn and Ghostemane, collaborating with Travis Barker, moshing naked and more. Their latest endeavor is their first fully collaborative project, a new mixtape titled Ho99o9 Presents Territory : Turf Talk Vol. 1, which features a cast of freaky friends and family. Count among those Russian feminist punk activists Pussy Riot, who teamed with Ho99o9 on the scuzzy new song and video "Mind Yo Business." Watch and listen above.
"There's something powerful in moving as an army, as a unit, as a force," commented Ho99o9's theOGM, who produced the mixtape under the name LilBooth. "It's paying homage to all the collectives/crews like Wu-Tang, Dip Set, G Unit, Ruff Ryders, Rawkus, Roc a Fella/State Property, FlipMode Squad, O.F., A.S.A.P."
Founding members of the Territory collab include theOGM and his Ho99o9 partner in crime Yeti Bones, as well as Hoddy, the Young Jedi, Gnar, N8NOFACE, Elete, Jahsh Banks, Mother Lurk, HollyWood Dick, BRAINORCHESTRA, THE General, Krash Battle, Nah Ellis and LilBooth. Turf Talk Vol. 1 also includes special features from Pink Siifu, Pussy Riot, Dani Miller (of Surfbort), Plack Blague, MoRuf, Jesse Boykins III, Chase, '89 the Brainchild, Pe$o Gordon and Reaper Mook.
