See Hollywood Vampires Cover David Bowie's "Heroes" on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'

Alice Cooper, Joe Perry, Johnny Depp paid tribute to late rocker with faithful cover of 1977 hit

Hollywood Vampires, the supergroup featuring iconic shock rocker Alice Cooper, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, actor/musician Johnny Depp, and more, took over the Jimmy Kimmel Live! outdoor stage last night (June 19th) to perform a short set, which included a faithful cover of David Bowie's "Heroes."

While Cooper usually fronts the group, singing duties were passed to Depp for this take on Bowie's 1977 hit. Cooper stood off to the side strumming a guitar, and occasionally he and Perry would return to the mic to help Depp out on backing vocals. Images of the late Bowie were plastered across the screens behind the stage during the song's closing notes, and an appreciative audience gave the band their loudest round of applause of the night.

Another song pulled out for the appearance was "I Want My Now," taken from the group's coming sophomore album Rise. A black-leather and skull-belt clad Cooper struts the length of the stage waving around his signature cane while the ensemble cast shreds through the hard rock track and bright, flashing strobes light up the background.

See the full performance of that track below, and check out Hollywood Vampires' new record Rise when it drops tomorrow, June 21st, via earMusic.
