On January 25th, Richie Cavalera's groove-metal band Incite is set to its barreling new album, Built to Destroy, on MinusHead Records (you can pre-order it via Bandcamp, iTunes and Amazon) and to hit the road in support, including dates opening for Soulfly, the long-running group fronted, of course, by Richie's dad Max. Ahead of that momentous kickoff date, Incite have teamed with Revolver to drop the music video for Built to Destroy's politically charged fourth track "Resistance." The biting clip, directed by Tommy Jones at Video Hammer Studios, intercuts footage of disenfranchised people on L.A.'s Skid Row with clips of the filthy rich luxuriating in privilege.
"'Resistance' touches upon the huge problem of wealth inequality in America, as well as the rest of the world," Cavalera says. "When the one-percent has more than billions of people [do], shit has become out of control. We shot this video at Skid Row in Los Angeles, which I think shows first-hand how absolutely fucked up the problem is. This is a heavy song, along with a video that hopefully opens some eyes."
