See Jinjer Play First Show Since War in Ukraine

Tatiana Shmaylyuk and Co. touring as ambassadors of embattled home country

Granted permission to travel abroad as ambassadors of Ukraine to raise funds for and awareness of the war raging in their home country, Jinjer recently played their first show of 2022 and first since the conflict began. The momentous performance took place at Switzerland's Greenfield Festival on June 10th, and saw the Ukrainian metal stars tearing through a cathartic set that included the song "Disclosure!" off their most recent album, 2021's Wallflowers. Watch fan-filmed footage above.

"This is a huge honor for us as a band and as citizens," Jinjer commented in a joint statement when announcing their ambassadorship and upcoming shows. "We will do our part to make sure that this war stops as soon as possible! ... Come support, dance and scream your hearts out for Ukraine!"

Earlier this year, Jinjer released new merchandise designs to help raise funds to support their country. By April, the effort had brought in more than $150,000, with proceeds to be distributed directly to charities handpicked by the band. Both T-shirts are still available for purchase.
