Last night, June 4th, at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, riot grrl pioneers Bikini Kill continued their reunion tour in perfect form by treating the sold-out crowd to an extra-special version of their hit "Rebel Girl" featuring the legendary Joan Jett on guitar and backing vocals. Singer Kathleen Hanna brought her A-game with an energetic delivery of the 1993 song as the crowd soaked in the scene and Jett shredded her way through, clad in all black and looking more badass than ever.
The song came just before Bikini Kill exited the stage for the first time, returning shortly to deliver two encores of tracks like "Suck My Left One" and "Double Dare Ya." The show rolls on tonight with another performance at the New York venue, followed by a London concert on June 10th at O2 Academy Brixton and a performance later this year at Chicago's Riot Fest on September 13th.
