With his current solo tour winding up over on the West Coast, John 5 has dropped a new video for his single "Midnight Mass" that gives fans a little taste of what it's been like out on the road for the horror-lovin' shredder on this most recent run. Starting out with a shot of 5 wearing a heavily patched leather jacket in the desert claiming, "I'm scared," the video quickly switches gears to a stylized clip of the Rob Zombie guitarist preparing his signature spooky stage makeup before quick cuts to enthusiastic fans and raucous live footage.
Colorfully edited clips display show-goers clad in full makeup, many flashing their John 5 tattoos and tribute masks and robes; a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of 5 and Nikki Sixx posing for a photograph makes its way in, as well. But the real star of the clip is the wild stage show the six-stringer brought out for this solo run: Glowing guitars, black-light costumed characters and glowing mouthpieces add carnivalesque touches of Zombie-like theatricality.
