See Josh Homme Invite Spider-Man Onstage During Queens of the Stone Age Show

"You dance like a sexy bitch," frontman declared to masked superfan

To rock a full-coverage Spider-Man costume (or any costume, for that matter) at a music festival is to commit to a day of poor ventilation, excessive sweating and drunken selfie propositions from strangers: not exactly ideal for those seeking a chill, heat stroke-free experience. Still, the suffocating Spidey suit is not without its perks: it might just land you a spot on the main stage, shaking your groove thing with Queens of the Stone Age.

So it went during the band's set at Belgium's Rock Werchter Festival on July 5th.

Just before ripping into "You Think I Ain't Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire," Homme spotted a fan dressed as Spider-Man dancing in the crowd. He dedicated the song to the superhero on the spot, and asked the crowd to bring the hero forward: "Come to me. Bring Spider-Man to me. Just carry him to me, would you?"

Spidey then crowd-surfed to the front of the audience before joining the Queens onstage, whereupon Homme greeted him with a hug. The two boogied for a few moments ("You dance like a sexy bitch," complimented the frontman) until Homme told him it was time to go.

"My Spidey sense is tingling, and it's saying get the fuck off the stage now," he joked, taking his new friend's hand. "He made it from way the fuck back there, all the way here: He's going to make it all the way onto my bus."
