See Kittie's First Band Rehearsal in 5 Years

Alt-metal heroes post awesome footage of long-awaited practice
KITTIE 2022 split MORGAN MERCEDES

Later this year, late-Nineties alt-metal heroes Kittie will play their first show in five years at the Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Virginia and then another at the When We Were Young emo bash in Las Vegas. The Canadian band, whose 2000 album, Spit, is one of the most essential nu-metal albums of all time, haven't performed since October of 2017, and with the nostalgia for nu-metal bands like themselves in full swing, anticipation for their big return shows is running high. To show how stoked the band themselves are to get back at it, they posted a video on Instagram containing footage of their first rehearsal in half-a-decade.

"We look like we're jamming at a construction site!," the group wrote in the caption. "This is the first time we've played together like this in 5 years. The feeling is unbelievable!"

Check out the video below and get psyched for Kittie's gig at Blue Ridge, which goes down the weekend of September 8th through the 11th, and When We Were Young, which is happening October 22nd, 23rd and 29th in Vegas.
