See Korn Play Crunching "Coming Undone" on 'CD USA' TV Show in 2006

Nu-metal stars brought 'See You on the Other Side' single to DirecTV

Oh, the days before music streaming. Remember those things called CDs? The shiny plastic discs were so ubiquitous that there was even a live music television show called CD USA. Debuting on DirecTV in 2006, it showcased artists from Ashlee Simpson and the Jonas Brothers to P.O.D., Flyleaf and Eighteen Visions. Count among the performers nu-metal OGs Korn, who appeared on CD USA less than a year removed from the release of their seventh album, See You on the Other Side, to play the LP's hit second single "Coming Undone."

See You on the Other Side was a transitional album for Korn: Their first as a quartet, after giving "Head" to God, and their last with drummer David Silveria. It also marked a left-field collaboration with big-name pop production team The Matrix, who had previously worked with Avril Lavigne, Britney Spears and Shakira. Under their guidance, Korn delivered a sleek, streamlined LP packed with snappy, gothy cuts like lead single "Twisted Transistor" and the crunching "Coming Undone." Watch Jonathan Davis, James "Munky" Shaffer, Fieldy and Silveria play the latter above.
