See Korn Play Haunting Cover of Alice in Chains' "Would?" in 2020

Nu-metal OGs paid tribute to grunge giants

On December 1st, 2020, Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture held its annual benefit as a livestream, honoring hometown icons Alice In Chains. The star-studded show featured a mini-set from AIC themselves, as well as several other performances of the grunge titans' songs by famous fans including Metallica, Mastodon, Smashing Pumpkins, Slipknot's Corey Taylor and many more.

One of the best covers of the event was delivered by nu-metal pioneers Korn, who played an epic rendition of Dirt closer "Would?" in a moodily-lit studio. As seen in pro-shot video of their tribute, Jonathan Davis and Co.'s performance is reverent and mostly true to the original, deviating most notably only at the end when the singer adds an almost death-metal edge to the closing roars of "If I would, could you?"
