Nu-metal titans gave 'Requiem' single explosive debut in Phoenix, Arizona

This Friday, Korn will release their highly-anticipated new album, Requiem, which was previewed by the singles "Start the Healing" and "Forgotten." Last night (January 31st), the Bakersfield nu-metal stalwarts played their first show of 2022 alongside System of a Down at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and they took the opportunity to give "Start the Healing" its live debut.

After opening with the classic Issues track, "Falling Away From Me," the band went right into the sleek and emotionally-touching new song — and absolutely killed it. The recorded version of "Start the Healing" is on the low-key end of Korn's sonic spectrum, but for this performance, the band ramped up the heavy as Jonathan Davis growled and thrashed around the stage during its explosive chorus. Requiem — which features playing by bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu, although he's not currently an active member of the band — is due out February 4th via Loma Vista and available for pre-order in an array of collectible formats. These include an exclusive silver vinyl variant strictly limited to 1,000. It's going fast so order yours now before they're gone.
