Jonathan Davis dropped his first-ever solo album, Black Labyrinth, in May, as well as kicking off a 13-part video series, dubbed "Through the Black Labyrinth," that takes a deep dive into the recording sessions for each cut. Episode five chronicles the making of the song "Final Days," a composition that Davis wrote during the war in Iraq, an earth-shaking event that influenced both the themes and the Middle Eastern vibe of the cut. Davis talks about working with musician Miles Mosley and violinist L. Shenkar, who both played big roles in the creation of the song. The Korn singer even ended up taking violin lessons from the latter, which have led to "long, 10-minute jams onstage" during Davis' solo tour. "People seem not to get bored," the singer says. He also digs into his infamous scatting vocal stylings — or as he calls them "Boom Chakas" — which have also come into play on the tour. Watch the clip above.
