See Korn's Munky Join Hyro the Hero For Surprise "Devil in Disguise" Performance

Guitarist and rap-rocker bring collaborative single to life onstage

On December 4th, rap-rocker Hyro the Hero played his final show of 2018 to a packed house at the Viper Room in Los Angeles and he gave fans a special surprise. Midway through his set, the MC brought out Korn's James "Munky" Shaffer, who joined Hyro's band for a dread-flailing performance the two musicians' collaborative single "Devil in Disguise." The gnarly, discordant cut, which was co-written by Munky (stream it in full below), appears on Hyro's latest album Flagged Channel, released earlier this year.

"He's Munky. He's a legend," Hyro has said of working with the Korn's guitarist on the song. "He came in and crushed it. It was a done deal. He just wanted to be around and kick it and chill. That was the dopest part about it. He put the riff down in an hour, but he chilled around two or three hours, just kicking it."
