See Lamb of God Play With Chimaira, Trivium, In Flames Singers

A-list guests took the mic while Randy Blythe recovers from COVID-19

Yesterday (April 19th), Lamb of God announced that frontman Randy Blythe had contracted COVID-19 over the weekend and that he would have to sit out that night's performance in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Instead of canceling the show altogether, the remaining members of LoG called upon an A-team of metal singers — Chimaira's Mark Hunter, Trivium's Matt Heafy and In Flames' Anders Fridén — to fill in for Blythe and give their audience a show unlike any other they've ever played.

As Blabbermouth notes, Hunter told a fan on Twitter that he learned seven LoG songs in a mere 25 hours in order to make the last-minute stage appearance, and from the fan-shot video of the band's set, it looks like he totally nailed it. The members of Trivium and In Flames were readily available given they're currently on tour with LoG and Megadeth on the "Metal Tour of the Year," but seeing them come out and crush a few LoG jams is still a unique opportunity.
