See LAMB OF GOD's Randy Blythe join GOJIRA for crushing "Backbone" performance

In LoG's hometown of Richmond, Virginia

Gojira are out on tour right now with Mastodon and Lorna Shore, utterly crushing shit at every stop throughout the U.S. Last night (May 9th), the "Mega-Monsters Tour" stopped in Richmond, Virginia, which studious metalheads will know is the hometown of groove-metal champions Lamb of God

During Gojira's set, the French metallers surprised fans by bringing out their local hero, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe, a longtime Gojira collaborator who's joined them onstage several times over the years — most recently in late 2021 for a beastly rendition of "Adoration for None."

Last night, however, Blythe ran out during Gojira's song "Backbone," a stomper from their 2005 breakthrough From Mars to Sirius, and Blythe went totally mad with the mic while the band churned out the crushing tune.

Naturally, the crowd went fucking wild, and then Gojira kept the energy up by going directly into "Stranded" from their 2016 landmark, Magma. We're jealous we couldn't be there to witness it in real-time, but check out YouTube footage of Blythe's animalistic cameo above.
