See Mötley Crüe's Vince Neil Performing With Onstage Teleprompter

Frontman was filmed reading lyrics from a screen disguised as a monitor

Mötley Crüe singer Vince Neil was captured using a teleprompter onstage during the band's July 5th performance in St. Louis as part of "The Stadium Tour." YouTuber Justin Newton has uploaded several snippets of the performance with Neil apparently relying on a screen to remind him of the lyrics, which is a tool that Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Halford have used in recent years as well. A teleprompter isn't the only thing Mötley Crüe have had to lean on during this long-awaited comeback tour. During their first show back, drummer Tommy Lee exited the stage after just five songs due to residual pain from an injury he sustained, tapping former Ozzy drummer Tommy Clufetos to fill in for him during that set and the ones that followed. While he was reticent to unveil how he actually injured himself, his wife eventually revealed on Snapchat that he broke four ribs a few weeks prior to his band's tour after falling down a set of stairs.

"So, the day that we were leaving Nashville, our driver came and we had all this luggage and he wasn't helping us; he just stayed in the car," Furlan explained. "And so Tommy was trying to carry all of our luggage for us. And he fell down these crazy stairs and broke — broke — four ribs. Not fractured, not bruised — broke. And it was crazy, cause I came out and he couldn't breathe."
