Today (May 27th), Polish tech-death stalwarts Decapitated released their first album in five years, Cancer Culture, a guest-studded affair that includes standout features from Jinjer's Tatiana Shmayluk ("Hello Death") and Machine Head's Robb Flynn ("Iconoclast"). The latter also pops in the new music video for the song he appears on, which Decapitated just unleashed in conjunction with the new LP. Watch above.

The ties between Flynn and Decapitated run deep, of course: The polish band's Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka has been playing guitar in Machine Head since 2019, following Phil Demmel's departure.

"When Vogg asked me to sing on this Decapitated track, I was honored to jam with pioneers and such insane musicians," Flynn commented. "When he sent the track I was blown away at this incredible melodic section in the middle. When he told me the song was called 'Iconoclast,' I knew exactly what needed to be said. An iconoclast is 'a destroyer of images used in religious worship.' This song had to address the hateful, growing fascist Evangelical movement growing around the world. The cruel men who wish to hide their cruelty under a cloak of faith and zealotry."
