Over the weekend, Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn got a chance to play with his lifelong idols in Exodus. Flynn has long been a diehard Exodus fan, having cut his teeth going to thrash shows in the Bay Area back in the mid-Eighties, and on March 6th he was given the opportunity to run out onstage and handle co-lead vocal duties for the Bonded By Blood classic "A Lesson in Violence."
Naturally, Flynn was riled up and ready to go, introducing the song with a roaring intensity and whipping the crowd into a circle-pitting frenzy. What's more, Flynn wasn't the only special guest musician on the stage. The thrash titans also let former guitarist Rick Hunolt shred during the tune, which was particularly special since Hunolt played on Bonded By Blood and was a fixture of the group for various periods throughout the band's history.
