Last month, Atlanta heavies Mastodon dropped their new full-length stunner Hushed and Grim. The two-LP epic (which recently got nominated for a Best Metal Performance Grammy) is stacked with the crew's signature blend of progressive rock meets sludge metal goodness.

Last night (November 23rd) the band dropped by Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform one of the album's most haunting singles: "Teardrinker."

The mournful, mid-tempo track unfolds coolly with drummer Brann Dailor's clean verse vocals and Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher's restrained guitar interplay, as bassist/singer Troy Sander's periodically steps up to the mic to add some gravelly lines (and a tasty bass solo). Watch that performance above, and make sure to stick around for "Teardrinker"'s climax — courtesy of Hinds and his truly wicked solo skills

Hushed and Grim, which dropped on October 29th via Reprise Records, is available in multiple formats — including a Revolver-exclusive clear vinyl version, which comes bundled with our Fall 2021 magazine and a hand-screened slipcase featuring artwork by longtime Mastodon collaborator Paul Romano. Get yours before they're gone!
