Dave Mustaine brought Megadeth's performance to a halt at Barcelona Rock Fest on Saturday (July 2nd) to launch into a tirade against an alleged member of Judas Priest's road crew, who was soundchecking on a different stage during Megadeth's set.
Barcelona Rock Fest is designed to eliminate wait times between sets which means setup and soundchecks take place on other stages during performances. Despite this being a feature and not a bug, Mustaine wasn't pleased to hear someone tuning up an instrument on the next stage over, and he launched into a tornado of curses directed at the offending roadie.
"We'll wait till he's done checking his guitar over there," Mustaine told the crowd before getting increasingly angry. "The last night of the tour — we went all the way to the last fucking night, and then some pussy over on the stage next to us has to start playing while we're playing. How fucking pathetic, amateur piece of shit you are."
At this point, Mustaine appeared to mutter under his breath and give the offending crew member the middle finger. "Can we proceed now? Fucking cunt," he finally asks. Watch Mustaine's full rant above via YouTube, which starts at the 9:10 mark.
