Singer Justin Stewart: "We're like the Miley Cyrus of metalcore"

Charlotte, North Carolina, metalcore mavens LANiiDAE are quickly making their name — as much for the band's irreverent sense of humor as for their high-energy metalcore.

Both are on fine display in the group's latest release, the single and music video "Anything." The song swerves between sing-along pop hooks and pummeling mosh-pit fodder, while the rowdy clip captures the quintet throwing down in their van along with a skeletal friend in the backseat. Watch and listen above.

"This track is a roller coaster of emotion," LANiiDAE commented of "Anything" in a joint statement, "flowing back and forth from vibe-y to heavy, topped off with a catchy chorus and a skull crushing breakdown."

Guitarist Joey Park puts it better: "It's no Bohemian Rhapsody, but it'll do."
