See Metallica Perform Classic Songs, Talk Early Days, Band Feuds, More on 'Stern'

Band played "Wherever I May Roam," "The Unforgiven," "All Within My Hands" live from HQ

On August 12th, Metallica appeared on The Howard Stern Show, playing three songs live from the band's headquarters and chatting about a range of topics, from the group's early feuds with their glam-metal peers to their headline-making performance with Lady Gaga. As for the three songs they performed, two ("Wherever I May Roam" and "The Unforgiven") hailed from the heavy-metal stalwarts' smash 1991 self-titled LP, a.k.a. the Black Album, while one ("All Within My Hands") was off 2003's St. Anger.

Today (August 18th), Stern released official footage of said performances, as well as clips from the loose, funny interview with the band — watch above and below. Metallica guested on the show ahead of their first legit concert of 2020, set to be broadcast on August 29th at hundreds of drive-in and outdoor theaters across the U.S. and Canada. The group are also gearing up to release their S&M2 live album and documentary.
