See Metallica's Acoustic "Disposable Heroes" Performance in New Pro-Shot Video

Thrashers reworked 'Master of Puppets' track for All Within My Hands benefit concert

While fan-filmed footage of Metallica performing acoustic versions of some of their classics emerged shortly after the thrashers' November 3rd concert to benefit their charity All Within My Hands, fans can now see their stripped-down version of "Disposable Heroes" up close and in high quality through professional footage released by the band themselves.

The opening scene shows singer James Hetfield jokingly refer to his nerves concerning the rare performance before the expanded lineup break into the Master of Puppets classic. Added instrumentation and tight shots on the core four add depth and dimension to the performance, previously seen only through rough, far-away shots.

Metallica raised $1.3 million through the event, and adding to that will be proceeds from the upcoming double LP Helping Hands: Live and Acoustic at the Masonic. In the official listing on their site, the band promise "The Metallica Store will donate all net proceeds from the purchase of this item to the All Within My Hands Foundation." The record is expected to ship out February 1, 2019 (pre-order here) and see official art for the project below.
