Thrashers continue unveiling vintage concert footage ahead of "...And Justice for All" box set

Metallica continue to unleash vintage live footage for fans in anticipation of the release of their huge upcoming box set celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark fourth studio album ...And Justice for All. Their latest preview treat for fans comes from a September 15, 1989 performance of "Blackened," filmed in Mountain View, California at the Shoreline Amphitheatre.

This perfect time capsule features singer James Hetfield at the height of his handlebar-mustache hesher phase while guitarist Kirk Hammett, then-bassist Jason Newsted and drummer Lars Ulrich all rock massive headbang-ready manes; they are the immaculate image of late-Eighties thrash gods while performing the classic opening track (for which they just named their new whiskey) from their first album post-Cliff Burton's death.
