To get in the spirit of the season, guitarist Jason Richardson (ex-Chelsea Grin and Born Of Osiris) teamed with his sponsor Ernie Ball to reconstruct John Carpenter's seminal Halloween theme with more shred and technical licks than ever before. To really get that special touch, the axeman donned a Michael Myers mask and delivered the solo while bathed in eerie blue and red-tinged low light as a swinging lamp overhead rhythmically deepened the costume's shadows and highlights.
The revamped track showcases Richardson's impeccable technical skill while veering off course enough to give an original feel rather than that of a basic cover, including just enough epic synth and instrumental accompaniment to push along the noodly performance.
