See MIKE PATTON's FANTÔMAS reunite onstage for one song in Oakland

Patton, Buzz Osborne, Dave Lombardo and Trevor Dunn played "Experiment in Terror"

Fantômas reunited — briefly! The defunct Mike Patton-led project — also featuring Melvins' Buzz Osborne, Mr. Bungle's Trevor Dunn and the OG Slayer drummer himself, Dave Lombardo — have been broken up since 2017, but last night (May 24th), the group reformed onstage in the middle of Mr. Bungle's show in Oakland, CA, to play their beloved cover of Henri Mancini's "Experiment In Terror."

It's worth nothing that three of Fantômas' four members, Patton, Dunn and Lombardo, currently play in Mr. Bungle, so all they needed was Osborne to fill out the lineup of their cult-adored avant-metal outfit.

The song they played is a highlight from the band's 2001 album, The Director's Cut, which consisted of metallized reinventions of classic themes from horror movies and TV shows.

They probably won't reunite again anytime soon, so fans who were lucky enough to be there for the suprise performance were lucky ducks! Watch footage above via YouTube.
