See Muse Cover Slipknot's "Duality" at Isle of Wight Festival

Prog-rock Brits spontaneously burst into nu-metal classic in middle of set

Over 20 years ago, Muse played a festival with Slipknot and ended up getting their hands on Corey Taylor's mask, which one of their members put on his head while jumping around impersonating the Slipknot vocalist's intense onstage demeanor. In 2001, Muse might've thought the raging nu-metal stars were a bit of a joke, but in 2022, they're clearly big fans.

During their June 19th set at a festival in the U.K.'s Isle of Wight, the prog-metal Brits finished the heavy ending to their song "Won't Stand Down" and then swiftly transitioned into a full-blown cover of Slipknot's 2004 hit, "Duality."

In fact, the band's take on the song wasn't half bad! The three-piece were really rocking out up there as they worked through the chorus and the main riff before switching gears, but if they went up there and did a full cover set of Slipknot songs, no one would be mad.

Check out video of the "Duality" cover above via YouTube. The video features pro-shot footage of the whole performance, but the "Duality" part kicks in right around the 32-minute mark.
