See Nu-Metal Revivalists Tallah Go Apeshit in "For the Recognition" Video

Featuring Mike Portnoy's son Max, who also drums for Code Orange

We're about a month out from the release of Tallah's sophomore album, The Generation of Danger, and today (October 13th), the new wave of nu-metal leaders have offered up another taste in the form of single "For the Recognition."

It's one of the heaviest, fastest, most ferocious songs yet from the Pennsylvania band, which features drummer Max Portnoy, a.k.a. Mike Portnoy's son who's currently pulling double-duty behind the kit with Code Orange. "For the Recognition" arrived along with a frenetic, claustrophobic performance video capturing the group in all-out beast mode. Watch and listen above.

"When I wrote this song, I made sure the ending pit hit really hard but was simple enough for us to trash our set up live," Portnoy commented. "We took that mindset into the studio as well and smashed tons of lamps, microwaves, vases, etc. and put those recordings in the song."

The Generation of Danger is due out November 18th via Earache Records.
