Soundtracking a beachwear catwalk in Miami

MTV's "rock 'n' roll fashion show" Fashionably Loud resulted in many surreal, very-of-the-era moments — from Limp Bizkit soundtracking a bikini catwalk in Negril, Jamaica, to Filter tearing through "Hey Man, Nice Shot" with frontman Richard Patrick's broken arm in a sling emblazoned with a message to Cindy Crawford. The surreality extends to Orgy's 1998 appearance on the series, which saw them performing on an improbable bill with Kid Rock and Jay-Z.

Rebecca Romijn hosted the episode, which was shot down in summery Miami — pretty much the least goth location you could pick for a band like Orgy. The Jonathan Davis-endorsed group, which, at the time, included the Korn singer's former Sexart bandmate Ryan Shuck on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, presumably slathered on a bucketful of sunblock and performed gamely, cranking through their hit cover of New Order's "Blue Monday" as well as the Candyass original "Dissention" while models in beachwear strutted by. Watch the bizarreness unfold above.
