See Ozzy Osbourne Play "Crazy Train" With Zakk Wylde at NFL Halftime Show

Prince of Darkness also played "Patient Number 9" during L.A. Rams season opener

Ozzy Osbourne's music is a staple of any professional sports stadium in the U.S., so it was fitting that the L.A. Rams tapped the Prince of Darkness to play the halftime show during their season kickoff. Last night (September 8th), Osbourne took the stage in between halves and ripped through two bangers, the title-track from his brand new album, Patient Number 9, (out today), and the canonical pump-up anthem, "Crazy Train" — which featured a surprise appearance from longtime guitarist Zakk Wylde.

The performance marks Osbourne's second live appearance since 2018, following last month's surprise reunion with Tony Iommi at the Commonwealth Games. The Great Ozz has undergone a slew of surgeries that've hindered his ability to function at peak performance, but he was up there swaying, singing and rocking out like all is well during last night's NFL set.

The epic hook of "Patient Number 9" thrived in the live stadium environment, and seeing Wylde up there windmilling his hair while cranking out the iconic "Crazy Train" riff is always a comforting sight. Check out footage from the seven-minute set above and below.
