See PANTERA play "Walk" with MAYHEM's Attila Csihar in Hungary

Black-metal royalty got some respect

Yesterday (May 30th), the re-formed Pantera played the first of two back-to-back shows in Budapest, Hungary, and they invited a Hungarian friend up onstage with them: "the fabulous Attila," as Philip Anselmo introduced him, better known as the throat-singing vocalist of infamous Norwegian black-metal pioneers Mayhem. The singer — last name Csihar — joined the Cowboys From Hell on their signature anthem "Walk." Watch high-quality fan-filmed video above.

Before the show, Anselmo — a longtime fan of black metal who's dabbled in the style with projects like Scour, Christ Inversion and the supergroup Eibon featuring members of Satyricon and Darkthrone — hung out with Csihar, sharing photos of the two pal'ing around "under the Hungarian sky."

Pantera's European tour — the group's first in over 20 years — continues tonight in Budapest.
