See Papa Emeritus IV Unveiled in Ghost's New "Life Eternal" Video

Filmed in Mexico City during last show of 'Prequelle' cycle

In March 2020, during a show at Mexico City's Palacio de los Deportes, Ghost frontman Cardinal Copia finally earned his mitre and skull makeup and was named Papa Emeritus IV. The concert was the Swedish occult-rock band's last of the Prequelle album cycle, and now the momentous gig has become the focal point of Ghost's latest music video, for LP standout "Life Eternal." The clip — released today, March 3rd, Ghost mastermind Tobias Forge's 40th birthday — captures the dramatic moment of Papa IV's unveiling, previously only available in fan-shot footage, for posterity.
