"The Revelation" is latest dance-floor burner from KMFDM, Psychic TV collaborator Raymond Watts

The opening of "The Revelation" feels like the breakdown section from Slayer's "Angel of Death" until that slithering drum loop truly settles in. By then, it's pretty apparent that this song belongs less in the headphones of a thrash-metal fan and more on the dance floor of a goth party — you can almost hear the sound of vinyl jackets and boots creaking as the crowd sways to the song.

The project is the nom de guerre of Raymond Watts, identified as an early member of KMFDM and collaborator with everyone from Einstürzende Neubauten to Psychic TV. As such, fans of Marilyn Manson, KMFDM, Ministry and Thrill Kill Kult will all file "The Revelation" away for safekeeping, and yet the track never gets too genre-heavy or inaccessible for the masses either.

"The Revelation" appears on Risen (order yours), <PIG>'s latest LP for Metropolis Records. Catch <PIG> out with Killing Joke this fall
