See Pizza Parlor Mascot's Life Go Wrong in Red Fang's Wild New "Why" Video

The sad saga of Arnie Von Party

How do Red Fang keep making such awesome music videos? Their latest clip, for the song "Why," lives up to the Portland band's seemingly out-of-reach legacy of combative LARPers, beer-guzzling zombies and vehicular destruction. The video tells "the tragic tale of Arnie Von Party, a pizza parlor mascot whose predilection for the company goods puts the fuzzy fiend in a world of hurt," as a press release aptly puts it. Watch above.

"Whoa!!!" Red Fang vocalist-bassist Aaron Beam enthused. "This video is JAM-PACKED with thrills, chills and spills. Our buddy Ansel Wallenfang, director of the music video/video game for our track, 'Antidote,' is back with a wild and hilarious, but also touching story about a special group of friends who play together as the in-house band for a casual pizza restaurant. Things get a lot darker than you might imagine. We hope it's not too cheesy!"

"Why" appears on Red Fang's upcoming new Arrows, which is due out on June 4th via Relapse Records and is available for pre-order now in both physical formats — including an insane Red Fang x Psycho Las Vegas limited-edition Texas Hold'em themed box set — and digital formats. It'll be the band's first album since 2016's Only Ghosts.
