Poppy never rests. The genre-bending singer released two projects in 2021, the brutally heavy EAT EP and the gloomy grunge-pop record, Flux. Today (October 14th), she's back with another collection of new material, the four-song Stagger EP. Lead single, "FYB," was a biting punk track and two of the other songs on here follow a similar formula, but the title-track is a lot different than anything Poppy has done in years; a melancholy trip-hop ballad that she sings over with a celestial croon.
It's a gorgeous song, and Poppy gave it a fittingly gorgeous music video. The visual sees Poppy and one other dancer — both in striking, all-black clothing — performing a brooding choreography routine that definitely has some Black Swan vibes. Watch and listen above via YouTube.
