See Psych-Rockers Spiral Skies Get Witchy With New "Dark Side of the Cross" Video

Frontwoman Frida Eurenius and Co. hail proto-metal of yesteryear with evocative song and visual

Opening with a riff not too dissimilar from Black Sabbath's "Children of the Grave," Spiral Skies are definitely going for a retro-leaning shout to the proto-metal of yesteryear with their song "Dark Side of the Cross." Propelled by the muscular vocals of frontwoman Frida Eurenius, the cut is galloping Seventies hard rock through and through. The accompanying video, meanwhile, spins us from a church to a dimly lit hallway to a candlelit scene, creating a witchy, satanic vibe that matches the band's devilish swagger. Check out the video for the first time above and order your copy of the band's Blues for a Dying Planet via AOP Records.

Spiral Skies comment on their latest video in cryptic measure, giving the entire thing a much more interesting, revolutionary slant: "Those who have been banished, oppressed and pursued — gather and gain strength. Only from the other side can the world be tipped upside down"
