See QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's surreal video for new song "Emotion Sickness"

Leather daddy Minotaurs, tattooed elephants and more

Yesterday (May 11th), Queens of the Stone Age finally officially announced their long-rumored eighth album, In Times New Roman…, and offered up its lead single, the funky, soulful "Emotion Sickness."

Today, Josh Homme and Co. followed up with the song's wild lyric video, directed and starring Sifl and Olly co-creator Liam Lynch, whose resume boasts clips for Foo Fighters, Tenacious D, Royal Blood and others. Watch above.

It's a deliriously surreal video full of phantasmagorical characters, from leather daddy Minotaurs to tattooed elephants, all tied together with a cool, high-contrast, retro graphic sensibility perfectly suited to QOTSA.

In Times New Roman… was recorded and mixed at Homme's own Pink Duck (R.I.P.), with additional recording at Shangri-La. The album was produced by Queens of the Stone Age and mixed by Mark Rankin, and the artwork and double LP gatefold packaging was designed by longtime collaborator Boneface.

In Times New Roman… is due out June 16th via Matador and available for pre-order on vinyl now.
