See Rammstein's Wild Video for Massive New Song "Zeit"

German firestarters return from the sands of time

It took Rammstein a decade between albums to finally release their last LP, 2019's untitled offering; its follow-up is well on its way, in less than a third of that time. The Deutschlandic pyromaniacs spent their quarantine hard at work writing and recording music, including a new song that premiered last October on the International Space Station to an audience of one: French astronaut Thomas Pesquet. Today (March 10th), the rest of the universe get to hear a song, the newly released "Zeit," which arrived with a characteristically unhinged and cinematic music video. Watch and listen above.

"Zeit" translates to "time" in English, and the surreal visual, directed by Robert Gwisdek, plays on that theme, showing the band members as characters throughout different historical periods, wrangling with death, rebirth and mysterious avatars of an unearthly realm.

The song is the title track off Rammstein's upcoming eighth album, which is due out April 29th and available for pre-order now.
