Best known for their burly stoner rock, Portland four-piece Red Fang are mixing up their sound with a cover of 1978 New Wave cult classic "Listen to the Sirens," by the Gary Numan–fronted group Tubeway Army. The track comes accompanied with a stripped-down music video showing the band lounging outside of and practicing in what appears to be an everyday rehearsal space, only this one is stacked with various Red Fang memorabilia — band stickers adorn amps, a Murder the Mountains–era tapestry hangs in the back, and a light bearing their iconic Saber Tooth skull logo sits in the window. Interspersed throughout is footage of the quartet smoking, drinking and strolling through the streets of Portland in keeping with their characteristic relaxed good-time attitude. In all, it's a more reserved and intimate offering compared to the beer-swilling party-metal aesthetic of their previous clips.
While no new album has been announced yet, Red Fang will be on tour with Monolord and Big Business during the month of September and will play a few one-offs later this fall. You can keep up with the band on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
