See Rob Zombie Play Rowdy "Sweet Dreams" Cover After Marilyn Manson Cancellation

Singer performed Eurythmics mega-hit in Toronto after Manson's last-minute cancellation due to "unforeseen illness"

Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are currently on the road in North America for their "Twins of Evil: The Second Coming" joint tour. Fans attending the trek's stop-off at Toronto's Budweiser Stage last night (July 26th) received an unfortunate announcement shortly before the latter rocker was set to perform: Manson would not be appearing that evening due to "unforeseen illness." Zombie played an extended set that night as a result, which saw him covering the Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of These)," — a clear musical shout-out to his absent tour-mate, whose cover of said track is a longtime set staple.

Footage capturing the crowd's understandably pissed reaction to the last-minute cancellation's initial announcement has since surfaced on Twitter, as the PRP points out; see it below. Fortunately, Manson diehards who attended the concert specifically for his set are eligible for a refund at point of purchase if so requested.

Zombie and Manson's Twins of Evil: The Second Coming tour is scheduled to run all summer long. Head here for the itinerary.
