See Sadistic Captors Meet Brutal End in the Watchers' "Seven Tenets" Video

Doom band brings blood and thunder in cinematic clip

Featuring members of Orchid and SpiralArms, and fronted by ex-Systematic vocalist Tim Narducci, California's the Watchers play burly, grungy, desert-road-trip–ready stoner rock, as heard on their debut full-length Black Abyss, released in March. One of the record's standout cuts, "Seven Tenets," has gotten the video treatment courtesy of director Mike Sloat (Testament, Machine Head), and the resulting cinematic clip is available for first-time viewing right here right now. In the visual, our unnamed protagonist finds himself held captive by a ragtag crew of miscreants who drag him out into the middle of nowhere with apparent murderous designs; things don't go quite as planned, however. As the narrative builds to its violent conclusion, the Watchers give the song a high-octane live run-through in the dust, wind and blazing sun. Check it out above.
