See Sarah Longfield Shred in Stunning Video for Animals as Leaders–Inspired Song

25-year old Sarah Longfield has been a musician for nearly half her life now, and her virtuosic guitar playing (among other instruments) is paying off with the growing popularity of her YouTube channel and a record deal with Season of Mist inked earlier this year. With a full-length coming in late November, Longfield has just dropped a new play-through video for "Cataclysm," a track she cites as being inspired by a group led by another master axeman, Tosin Abasi.

"There's a pretty big Animals As Leaders influence, which makes sense as I wrote it the day after seeing one of their shows in Providence, RI," says Longfield, "It's a combo of the way my style has developed over the last few years yet still pays homage to my heavier roots."

Longfield was named one of Guitar World's "15 of the World's Greatest Seven- and Eight-String Guitarists" in 2016 and shows no signs of slowing her progression as a musician. Season of Mist will be reissuing her most recent album, February's Collapse // Expand after they put out her forthcoming full-length Disparity, available for pre-order here and officially out November 30th.
