See Scott Ian, Tom Morello Play Metal 'Game of Thrones' Theme With Show Creator

D.B. Weiss, Nuno Bettencourt and 'GoT' composer Ramin Djawadi joined jam, playing Fender's "Sigil Collection" guitars

With the seventh and final season of Game of Thrones underway, the feverish hubbub surrounding the show is in high gear. Punctuating that excitement comes a stunningly crafted series of guitars made by Fender called the "Sigil Collection," and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello, Anthrax's Scott Ian and more tested out the product alongside GoT creator and show runner D.B. Weiss to jam out a metal-ized rendition of the show's triumphant theme song.

A new Fender video cuts right to the chase as the musicians all line up in a row, each holding a unique piece from the extravagant collection as they strum and pluck their way through the popular series' main theme. Not only were Weiss, Ian and Morello on board for the occasion, Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and GoT composer Ramin Djawadi jumped in on the action for a rousing five-piece performance.

Following the short jam, the video goes behind the scenes at the Fender custom shop in Corona, California, for an interview with Weiss who calls guitars a "centerpiece to [his] life." He relays the story of talking to Fender CEO Andy Mooney about the possibility of making a GoT guitar, and things got rolling from there with Principal Master Builder Ron Thorn.

Each guitar from the Games of Thrones "Sigil Collection" is based on the houses represented in the show, including Stark, Lannister and Targaryen. Thorn shows off the artfully crafted instruments, detailing the materials and hand-created aspects of each as he shows off their gorgeous construction. Every guitar crafted for the limited-edition series is hand-built to order in the Fender Custom Shop. Find more information on Fender's official website
