See Slaughter to Prevail Drink Blood, Fight Bear, Play Russian Roulette in New Video

Russian deathcore crew drop bulldozing single "Baba Yaga"

Revolver has teamed with Slaughter to Prevail for an exclusive, limited splatter vinyl edition of their new LP, Kostolom. It's limited to 250 — order yours now!

Russian deathcore demons Slaughter to Prevail are already notorious for making some of the most jaw-droppingly heavy 'core music in the entire world. Now, to pair with the announcement of their sophomore album, Kostolom, the Yekaterinburg crew have upped the ante with an extremely NSFW video for their new song "Baba Yaga" that includes all sorts of gratuitous violence.

Although the visual makes no reference to "Baba Yaga"'s titular myth about a terrifying old woman who lives in the woods, it does feature the band eating human flesh, fighting a grizzly bear, playing with military-grade weapons on an actual tank and engaging in a classic pastime from their motherland, Russian roulette.

As if the video wasn't intense enough, the nu-metal-inflected track is also fucking insane. Like their unforgettable 2020 single, "Demolisher," there's a moment when the band's vocalist, Aleksandr "Alex Terrible" Shikolai, summons a satanic roar to usher in one of the most brutal deathcore breakdowns in recent memory. Hold your loved one's tight while you watch and listen above via YouTube.

Kostolom is set for release August 13th via Sumerian Records, and pre-orders are available now in a variety of formats. These include a Revolver-exclusive "Half Opaque Brown/Half Black With Black Heavy Splatter" vinyl variant limited to 250. It won't last long so grab yours from our shop while you still can.
